How to Apply
Applications are now closed.
Eligibility: Participants must either hold a PhD obtained in 2023 or later, or be PhD students who started their program before January 2025. Each participant will join one research group only, chosen during the application process (applicants may indicate up to 3 preferred groups in order of preference.)
Participation in GRIP 2026 is by application through an online application form (no longer available).
In the form, applicants will be asked to:
- Indicate up to 3 preferred research groups, specifying their order of preference.
- Provide information about academic background, including research interests and relevant experience.
- Provide the email address of their PhD supervisor or of a senior collaborator, who may be contacted for a reference if needed.
Based on the submitted information, the organizers will form the groups aiming for a balanced composition in terms of career stage, gender, and geographic diversity to foster an inclusive and collaborative research environment. The selection will consider motivation and scientific compatibility with the proposed topics.
A registration fee of €100 will be required from accepted participants.
(this fee covers the cost of the social dinner and lunches at the University canteen).
Important Dates
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by May 2026. Notifications may be sent earlier, possibly already in late April 2026.
Selected participants will be asked to confirm their attendance and to pay the registration fee as soon as possible, and no later than the deadline that will be communicated by email.
