Conference Venue
The conference will take place at "Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica" (INDAM), Piazzale Aldo Moro, 5, which is located on the first floor of the Mathematics Department "G. Castelnuovo" inside the campus of of "Sapienza Università di Roma" (see MAP).
To reach the INDAM Institute, please take the corridor on your right after getting inside the Mathematics Department from its main entrance, and follow it round to a staircase. Then go up to the first floor where you find the door of the INDAM Institute on your left.

The weather in Roma in July is expected to be rather hot. The average maximum temperature is around 30° C, while the minimum is around 20° C. The average humidity is 60%.

How to reach INDAM

Time distance on foot from Train and Bus Stations:

The conference area is accessible by the following routes:

  • From Central Railway Station (Roma Termini) you can reach P.le Aldo Moro taking Bus no. 310 (see route map). Get off the bus at the fourth stop (the second stop that you find in Viale dell’Università ) and then walk along Viale delle Scienze untill you reach P.le Aldo Moro. The bus tickets must be purchased at the news-stands (inside the railway station) before you step into the bus, and they must be validated using the machines provided on the buses. Alternatively, you can walk from Termini Railway Station to P.le Aldo Moro following the highlighted route map.

  • From Main Bus Station (Roma Tiburtina) you can reach P.le Aldo Moro taking Bus no. 492 (see route map). Get off the bus at the sixth stop (the first stop of Via dei Ramni) and then walk along Via dei Marrucini untill you reach P.le Aldo Moro. Alternatively, you can walk from Termini Railway Station to P.le Aldo Moro following the highlighted route map. Tiburtina Railways Station is also connected to Termini Railways Station by underground Metro, line B (direction Laurentina). Metro tickets can be purchased at the news-stands or by vending machines.

  • From “Leonardo da Vinci” Airport (located in Fiumicino) you can reach Tiburtina Railway Station by local trains in approximately 45 minutes (see the timetable of train connections: Fiumicino Airport «——» Termini Railway Station). A Taxi ride from Fiumicino Airport to Tiburtina Station is expensive (about € 60/70). If you really need it, ask for the price in advance.


Rome metro system (Metropolitana)

The Rome metro underground train system has three lines named A, B and C. Lines A and B intersect at Rome Termini Station, the main public transport hub in Rome. The metro runs approximately every 7-10 minutes, from 5:30am until 11.30pm every day (until 0:30am on Saturdays). Tickets can be purchased in newsstands, tabacchis, or vending machines. The drivers do not sell any tickets.
