How to reach Padova
BY TRAIN
Padova is both on the Venice-Milano and on the Venice-Rome railways, many trains are available (see timetable of Trenitalia).
BY PLANE
The nearest airport is Venice airport (Marco Polo), 40 kilometers east of Padova; it is conveniently linked with all major European airports.
Some low-cost companies fly to the close Treviso airport.
Venice (or Treviso) Airport connections
- By shuttle
The Shuttle service will pick you up at the airport at your arrival and take you directly to the address of your choice in Padova. The reservation must be made at least 24h before your arrival, indicating date, time and flight number.
There are reduced fares for more people going to the same place.

Fare from Venice airport: 31 euros per person (slightly more from Treviso). - By bus
From Venice and Treviso airports there are direct buses to Padova bus station (autostazione), close to the railway station.
For the Department of Mathematics, stop at Fiera.- From Venice airport
The company SITA provides the connections to Padova every hour at 40' (also at 10' at rush hours), running from 8:40 to 21:40; see the timetable (in Italian only).
The SITA bus stop is located at arrival level (the last one on your right).
The bus takes around 1 hour. Fare: 8 €. You can buy the ticket in the ticket shop inside the airport (arrival level, on the left of the exit gate), in the vending machines close to the bus stop or directly on the bus (2 € extra charge). - From Treviso airport
The company La Marca provides the connections to Padova every 30' (20' at rush hours), running from 5:28 to 20:27; see the timetable.
